Meet at the Lower Harris Park Parking lot

Join the Coves Collective for an unforgettable illuminated musical celebration that merges community-driven artmaking with environmental activism. Bring your own instruments and paper lanterns or pick them up on-site (while supplies last), and immerse yourself in a vibrant, creative experience for all ages.

The evening will begin with a magical lantern puppet parade through Ron Benner’s As the Crow Flies, located on the western grounds of Museum London. This iconic outdoor garden installation, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, will serve as the gathering place for a dynamic musical dance party and live performance featuring drums, guitar, and trumpet.

As the music fills the air and dusk falls, become a part of an enchanting lantern puppet performance that lights up the night. Festivities will culminate in a special video screening by artist Sheri Osden Nault, projected from Museum London’s external screens overlooking the Deshkan Ziibi/Thames River.

Nault’s latest video work showcases the Coves of London, Ontario, a rare urban Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) home to over 100 diverse animal species, including 16 species of fish and 59 bird species. This evocative piece highlights the rich biodiversity of the Coves, connecting viewers to the natural world through stunning visuals and immersive storytelling.

This event is a unique opportunity to experience the powerful intersection of art, nature, and community in one memorable evening. Whether you come to play music, dance, carry a glowing lantern, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, you’ll be part of a joyful celebration that champions environmental care and sparks creative connection.

This event is presented as part of Nuit Blanche London, a dynamic arts festival presented by the London Society of Architects.
