Out with the Old? Creating a ‘Throw-Away’ Society
Wednesday, November 2, 3:00 to 4:30 pm
Tour the Interior Gallery and learn about what it means to live in a “throw-away” society and how companies use ‘planned obsolescence’ to increase sales. The exhibition opens a window to the distant and not-so-distant past and our activity takes us into the future. Participants will select a product and draw it in three stages: past, present and future. Product history, drawing techniques, and imaginative design will all be explored.
