Join us for our annual Corn Roast with artist, writer, and gardener Ron Benner, celebrating the 21st anniversary of his outdoor photographic and garden installation, As the Crow Flies.
Free and open to the public, the Community Corn Roast will feature welcome remarks from Elder Mary Lou Smoke and Benner’s remarkable roving corn-roasting wagon, Maiz Barbacoa, which showcases images of corn roasters from around the world alongside the names of corn in over 50 languages. Enjoy freshly roasted corn topped with butter, salt, Mexican chili powder, and fresh lime juice, explore the site-specific garden installation, and experience the warmth of this beloved community tradition.
This event is presented as part of London Heritage Council’s annual Doors Open London celebrations and the Ontario Culture Days 2026 festival.
