Household chores, part-time jobs, parents’ jobs and future careers were the inspiration for a variety of artworks in all media.

Household chores, part-time jobs, parents’ jobs and future careers were the inspiration for a variety of artworks in all media. Students were encouraged to create objects that are both thought-provoking and have personal meaning. Issues, such as child labour, unemployment, deindustrialization, working conditions in developing countries, and industrial impact on the environment were explored. A jury selected approximately 100 pieces from all of the works submitted.
Museum London is committed to fostering partnerships with the wider education community and promoting opportunities for students to learn through the visual arts. This cross-curricular learning experience incorporates the visual arts with language and social studies.
