Installation artist, curator, writer, and OCADU associate professor Bonnie Devine is a member of the Serpent River First Nation of Northern Ontario (Anishinaabe/Ojibwa). Join her in a video journey through her drawing and mixed media series Book of Transformation: Stories from the Shield with accompanying text read in the artist’s own voice. This story recounts the discovery of uranium near Elliot Lake in northern Ontario and its destructive impact on her home community. Visit our exhibition The Drive to view this artwork in person.
