Join Western University History Professor Bill Turkel for an insightful lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in historical research. A member of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists of the Royal Society of Canada (2018-25), Professor Turkel will discuss how understanding AI models is crucial for historians in the twenty-first century, and how we can complement these tools with the unique capabilities only humans can bring to the study of history.

Presented in partnership with Huron Community History Centre at Huron University College, all History Now! lectures are free to students and educators. We ask everyone else to pay what they can upon entry. Registration is required for all.
