Join us for an enriching cultural event celebrating the start of Black History Month with refreshments, dancing, and special guests! There will also be many community groups present for you to speak with and displays for you to view. Don't miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a celebration of Black history and community!

Presentation at 1:45 pm

Shannon Prince and Denise Pelley's presentation will reflect various regions and their rich Black history/presence there. Many people are unaware of the fact that slavery was in Canada, and these are stories of people who resided in their own backyard and communities. The stories will be memorable and inspiring.  The performance will be accompanied by Steven Holowitz.

Following the performance, Matthew, Curator at the Norwich and District Historical Society will introduce the Black History application, and invite the audience to participate in the demonstration.
