Andrew Kear joins Museum London on July 22, 2019 as Head of Collections, Exhibitions, and Programs. Formerly the Head of Collections and Exhibitions and Curator of Canadian Art at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Andrew began his career at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in 2007 as Registrar and Assistant Curator. Andrew has curated more than 25 exhibitions, with a focus on historical Canadian art, although he has also mounted shows of contemporary and international art. He has delivered papers at numerous academic conferences, written for a number of art publications including Canadian Art, Border Crossings, and Sculpture, and has taught Canadian art at the University of Winnipeg since 2010. Andrew holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and Masters degrees in philosophy and Canadian art history from the University of Toronto and Carleton University.
