Household chores, part-time jobs, parents’ jobs and future careers were the inspiration for a variety of artworks in all media. Students were encouraged to create objects that are both thought-provoking and have personal meaning. Issues, such as child labour, unemployment, deindustrialization, working conditions in developing countries, and industrial impact on the environment were explored. A jury selected approximately 100 pieces from all of the works submitted.
