Featuring Curators Pablo Tovar, Richard Gracious, Sara Mai Chitty, and Zahra Habib

Hosted by London Music Development Officer Cory Crossman

Free with registration, either in-person or online

In partnership with the London Music Office, the Words Festival returns to our home location at Museum London for an evening celebration of live music in the Forest City! Over the course of the evening, four London creatives will invite some of their favourite London artists to the stage to perform.

If you love live music and would like to discover your next favourite London artist, we invite you to join us live or online for Words & Music Downtown!

Words & Music Downtown will feature four local curators – Pablo Tovar, Richard Gracious, Sara Mai Chitty, and Zahra Habib – who have all developed playlists that highlight London artists and showcase the diversity of our music community. Each of our feature curators has selected a ten-song playlist based on their experience and expertise in the local music scene. Over the course of the evening, London Music Development Officer Cory Crossman will invite the curators to talk about their playlists, and then welcome to the stage two performers who are featured on their list.

Words & Music Downtown will offer the community a preview of an exciting new project to animate the city with local music. Downtown London is working with the London Music Office (LMO), Tourism London (TL), and London Transit Commission (LTC) to build awareness of our vibrant music community with playlists featured on LMO’s Spotify channel. The project will involve installing signage at LTC stops leading into the downtown.

This event is sponsored by Museum London, the Words Festival, and the London Music Office.
