Join London, Ontario-based painter, jewelry artist and educator Kitaay Bizhikikwe / Amanda Myers as she discusses her art practices and projects. Learn how the artist brings her Anishinaabe and Métis heritage into her work and the visual forms they take. See her exploration of the geographies, cultures, and histories of downtown London in the painting "They Know Better", 2017, on display in Museum London's new exhibition From Remote Stars: Buckminster Fuller, London, and Speculative Futures

Amanda is an Anishinaabekwe, of blended ancestry belonging to the marten clan and the Three Fires Midewiwin Lodge and Confederacy. She has worked with in visual arts and education over the past fifteen years as a writer, educator and facilitator. Currently Amanda fulfills the role of Director of the Indigenous Student Centre within the new Office of Indigenous Initiatives at Western University.
