Jump Start Art Class: Local Colour

The local environment will inspire a series of drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture projects over this 8-week class. Young artists will explore the interactive effects produced by different materials, including repurposing packaging and found objects in new ways. This choice in media and materials is intended to encourage creativity and develop skills in perceptual awareness. Art-making activities are complimented by tours of the exhibitions where looking at original art and art processes inspire discovery and discussion.

Online registrations are accepted until 2:00 pm the day before the camp or class is to begin. After that, please call to register over the phone. Have you missed the first class but are still interested in signing up? Register for remaining classes on a pro-rated basis. Program fees must be paid at the time of registration. For cancellations received at least one week in advance, the registration fee will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations made with less than one week’s notice.
