Become familiar with the basics of ink drawing, then learn how to apply light washes to enhance your sketches. Pen and ink provide for precision and control, while watercolour allows for a looser application of colour. When combined the two mediums can produce wonderful results. Ink sketching instruction will include observation, gesture, shading, perspective, and composition, while watercolour techniques will include knowledge and handling of the medium and colour theory.
